Christine M. Staples-Smith was born in Detroit, Michigan. She was educated' in public school on the Elementary level and parochial school on Middle School and High School grade levels. She graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and completed one year of the Masters program at Michigan State University.

In 1993, she went to work for Employers Temporary Service as a Staffing Director for the Metropolitan Detroit clerical location. In 1996, she became the Branch Manager for said branch, which led the company in highest sales for both clerical and industrial sales,

She has been active in community affairs through membership in the Detroit Institute of Arts Founders Society, and association with Lions Club and Public Television fundraisers, and in 1991 as a founder of PowerBase, Inc. a non-profit, volunteer, youth enrichment program for inner city youth.

Christine has an active knowledge of her industry having done over 4 years of Branch management, and over 7 years of interviewing, placement and employee testing and screening.

She is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Scott Group LLC located in Royal Oak, Michigan. Scott Group supplies staffing support throughout the Tri-County and Metropolitan Detroit area.

Mrs. Staples-Smith resides in Plymouth, Michigan with her husband and 3 children.
